Tattoo Test

This is my first attempt at Mercedes Lander's tattoos. I didn't exactly draw this from scratch...what I did was take a picture of one of her tattoos and drew the outline of it on a different layer. Yeah, I cheated. There's NO way in Hell I'm drawing this many tattoos from complete scratch. I'd rather stick her in long sleeved shirts forever than to draw 21 tattoos (possibly more in the future) from absolute scratch. Plus I need practice getting the hang of outlining my own drawings in Photo Shop...I liked the clean lines when I did it on my drawings for "Canadian Takeover" (as opposed to doing in Sharpie marker and painstakingly digitally erase the missed pencil marks). So I guess this could be a study art, too.

I'll work on the coloring later. It will probably have more solid shading instead of the gradual shading of the actual tattoo to match the style I draw in.

And I didn't draw in the names on the ribbons ("Deanna", "Dave", "Morgan"). I plan to after they're colored in rather than coloring around the lettering.
